Clear aligners or braces: choosing honestly

Aligners have transformed adult orthodontics, but they are a tool, not an upgrade. The right choice depends on the movement required.
Aligners excel at mild to moderate crowding, spacing and relapse after previous treatment. They are removable, nearly invisible and easier to keep clean.
Fixed braces remain more predictable for significant rotations, extraction cases, and bite corrections needing heavy vertical control. They also remove the compliance question — an aligner only works while it is in your mouth, which realistically means 20–22 hours a day.
In practice we scan, plan the target position digitally, and show you both routes with their timelines. If aligners cannot deliver the result, we say so rather than compromise the outcome.
